Use the Pocket PC Flashcards to jog your memory and assess your level of knowledge for the CCNP exam. In response to high demand from our readers, we're including flashcards for PC, Pocket PC, and the Palm operating systems.

We're assuming that you have already installed the Pocket PC software which came with your particular device, that your Pocket PC cradle is attached and working, and that you know how to synchronize or transfer files from your desktop computer to your Pocket PC.

IMPORTANT: Before using the flashcards for Pocket PC, please make sure you have the latest version of Macromedia's Flash Player on your handheld device; the relevant player for your particular device should be available from the manufacturer or Macromedia's website (www.macromedia.com).

To locate the files, please go to the Flashcards folder and open the PocketPC folder.

  1. Browse for the files you want to transfer from the CD by choosing CD-ROM drive > Flashcards > PocketPC. Transfer folders in their entirety (the exact procedures for synchronizing and transferring files will vary depending on your handheld device; you may have to copy the contents to your hard drive before transferring). If you require further assistance, please refer to your user manual for help in synchronizing files from a PC to your Pocket PC.
  2. On your Pocket PC, launch the Flash Player application.
  3. Once within the application, click File > Open > Browse and locate the Pocket PC folder and the set of folders you transferred from your PC.
  4. Select from one of the available .swf files and click OK. The Pocket PC flashcard files are now ready for use.

Begin using the flashcards by choosing the START button, or click the Options menu to customize your session. At any point during operation you can click on the Help button for a brief overview on use of the flashcards.

Note: The Pocket PC Flashcards have been tested on and are compatible with Pocket PC 2002 and higher.
